Tourism & Visitor Services

The Economic Development Department is responsible for implementing and managing the city's tourism marketing programs and services.

Tourism Promotion Area (TPA)

A TPA was formed in late 2022 as a partnership between the city and its hoteliers. The TPA is structured by city ordinance #22-016. The TPA generates revenue for tourism marketing through a $4 per room, per night fee that is assessed by the city's hotels/motels.

A TPA Commission comprised of five hoteliers that operate hotels in the city reviews programs and services proposed to be funded by TPA revenues, and makes recommendations to the City Council. The Commission generally meets monthly at City Hall.

All TPA Commission meetings are publicly noticed, and agendas are available on the website.
